How to make Green Dye in Minecraft
Step 1 – Gather Cactus
The first ingredient that you require is Cactus. Cactus grows in the numerous dry areas of Minecraft. It can be mostly found in the badlands and desert biomes. Using a tool does not speed up the process of mining Cactus. Alternatively, Cactus can also be found commonly in chests in Desert Houses. Wandering traders also frequently sell Cactus for the price of three emeralds.
Step 2 – Find Fuel
To craft a dye, you will need to smelt the Cactus. This requires fuel of some type. The most commonly used types of fuel are Coal and Wood Planks. Coal can primarily be found in dungeons and mineshafts and must be mined using a pickax. Coal Ore blocks appear as grey blocks with specks of black. Wood Planks can be crafted using Wood, which can be mined by punching trees or using an ax.
Step 3 – Smelting
Go to a Furnace and select it. The Furnace menu will open up, with two slots on the left side, and a big slot on the right. The fuel must be placed in the bottom slot present on the left. Note that depending on the type of fuel used, the duration for which it burns is different. Place the Cactus in the top slot on the left side. You will see flames appear on the left side between the two slots, and a Green Dye will appear on the slot to the right.
Step 4 – Collect the Dye
Move the Green Dye to your inventory.
